BLEICH, Russell
BLEICH, Russell (Rev.) (Miller, IA- ). In April 1979, Bleich succeeded Rev. Vincent C. JESTICE as Metropolitan Coordinator, ARCHDIOCESE OF DUBUQUE. The same year Bleich received the National Catholic Education Association's Presidential Award, the highest honor given by the group, for his leadership and service to Catholic education nationwide. A member of the board of directors of the association and its executive committee, Bleich also held membership in the NCEA Chief Administrators of Catholic Education and served as its president for 1976-1977. Within Iowa, Bleich served in the Iowa Association of Non-Public Schools and the Governor's Private School Advisory Committee. (2)
Monsignor Bleich served as the superintendent of schools for the Archdiocese fro, 1967 through 1987. (3)
