TWO BY TWO. Founded in 2005 by Kristin Woodward, a retired elementary teacher in the DUBUQUE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT, Two by Two was a not-for-profit organization dedicated to "to people, animals and the environment through character education." See webpage: http://www.twobytwoeducation.org/

In 2013 the organization which expanded nationally was a nominee for an Edison Award for its Innovative Toolkits of Character curriculum. The same year Two by Two was awarded the Favorite "New to You Tonight" Nonprofit during the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque celebration of its ten-year anniversary. Attendees at the 5th Annual 365 Impact Awards program saw Two by Two accept the Education Impact Award.
