THREE MILE HOUSE. In 1876 the Three Mile House was listed for sale including a house, barn and ten acres of land. A. Bechtel was the proprietor. (1)

The Dubuque County history of 1880 stated that the Three Mile House, a hotel, was located at CENTER GROVE. The hotel was established and managed by Metcalf DAYKIN and his brother John T. Daykin. (2)
