STRAKA JOHNSON ARCHITECTS. The successor to STRAKA ARCHITECTS, Straka Johnson with twelve architects on staff was owned in 2014 by Marty Johnson.
Founded in 1980 by James Straka, the firm by 2014 had been been involved in an estimated $1 billion of construction and renovation of the GRAND OPERA HOUSE, COTTINGHAM AND BUTLER, INC., twenty-six buildings on the campus of the UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE, and several buildings in the DUBUQUE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT.
