SPAHN, Frederick E.
SPAHN, Frederick E. (Dubuque, IA, Feb. 24, 1915--Dubuque, IA, Dec. 13, 1994). Spahn graduated from COLUMBIA COLLEGE and served as the treasurer of the A. Y. McDonald Credit Union. He was a member of the DUBUQUE ARBORETUM AND BOTANICAL GARDENS and also volunteered at the Washington Street Tool Library.
Spahn was a member of the American Iris Society and for many years raised and hybridized irises. Forty of his irises were registered with the American Iris Society and many won awards.
