SILOAM COMMANDERY, NO. 3, KNIGHTS TEMPLAR. on February 9, 1857, W. B. Hubbard, Grand Master of Knights Templar in the United States granted petitioners from Dubuque for a Commandery to be known as Siloam Commandery, at Dubuque.

In April, 1857, Siloam Commandery, No. 3, Knights Templar was organized after receiving its charter on April 21st. Philo E. Brown became the first E. Commander and served in this position from April 1857 to October, 1859.
