SCHULTZ, Paul. ( -- ). Recognized as one of the leading environmentalists in Dubuque for many years, Schultz worked for the City of Dubuque as its Resource Management Coordinator. He established the guiding principles of the the city's sustainability program creating the award-winning curbside collection program. Among the other programs with which he was involved were:

           1. Dubuque Green Asset Map
           2. Curbside Food Scrap Collection Program
           3. zero waste and event recycling initiatives
           4. compost processing infrastructure development
           5. Waste Diversion Road Map
           6. conversion from sludge incineration to anaerobic digestion
           7. IBM Smarter Discards Research Project Partnership
           8. Pay as You Throw
           9. Sustainable Dubuque Taskforce
          10. ICMA/US Department of State Climate Fellows Exchange with China

He was also active in providing volunteer service to the League of Women Voters, DUBUQUE AREA CONGREGATIONS UNITED, Catfish Creek Coalition, Governor's Green Advisory Committee, Dubuque Eats Well, and the DUBUQUE FOOD CO-OP
