RECONSTRUCTION GANG. Organized around 1943, the discussion group was focused on the interests of young people in Dubuque. Advisors included Louise Herron HALLIBURTON and Mrs. C. S. Hempstead. Members included college students and young people employed in the city.

Weekly meetings involved a speaker on such topics as postwar peace and conflicts between labor and capital. Attendance was usually twenty people.
