NOVELTY CANDY COMPANY. Opened in 1914, the company was developed by Dubuque businessmen including Benjamin Levenson, an expert candy manufacturer with experience in Dubuque and Cedar Rapids who was in charge of manufacturing; H. F. Salot, and C. H. Damont. Products to be manufactured included caramels, stick candies, butter cups, taffies, peanut bars, and coconut creations. (1)

The 1915 Dubuque City Directory and the 1916-1917 White's Dubuque County Directory listed 1715 Clay as the address of this manufacturer/wholesaler.
