MUTUAL RELIEF SOCIETY OF THE CHICAGO, MILWAUKEE, AND ST. PAUL SHOPS. Started in 1883 by Francis H. Dersch, the organization rose from seventy-five members to 650 in seven years. Every member paid dues of twenty-five cents per week and received four dollars per week during sickness and seventy-five dollars for funeral expenses.
