MULKERN, James
JAMES MULKERN. Mulkern was a Dubuque funeral director who in February 1901 merged his business with the BENNETT BROTHERS to form Bennett Bros. and Mulkern. The new firm occupied the former site of Bennett Brothers at 186 Main. Mulkern was to maintain his business at 119 8th street until his lease expired. Mulkern and R. F. Bennett were mentioned in the news as "practical embalmers."
