MISSISSIPPI VALLEY PROMISE. The local program in 2007 was patterned after America's Promise, the nation's largest private-public partnership focused on the goal of having every child receive five fundamental resources (Five Promises) for success--caring adults, safe places, a healthy start, an effective education and opportunities to help others.
The executive director was Jane STEELE.
