ENRIGHT, Harold. (Warren, IL-- ). Recipient, Distinguished Service Cross. As a private in the United States Army, Enright was involved in battle near Bois-de-Brieulles, France on September 28, 1918 during WORLD WAR I. He charged an enemy machine-gun nest which was inflicting heavy losses upon American troops and delaying the advance. He wounded the gunner and captured the gun allowing the advance to continue.
