DUBUQUE TWINE COMPANY. On January 29, 1962 a $300,000 fire shortly after noon destroyed one of the old A. A. COOPER WAGON AND BUGGY COMPANY buildings. Owned by J. A. Dodds and Sons, the building housed the Dubuque Twine Company, a manufacturer of ammunition boxes for the military and twine and wrapping materials. Smoke was so thick that drivers crossing the JULIEN DUBUQUE BRIDGE were forced to use their headlights. (1)

The company rebuilt and the 1964 through 1993 Dubuque City Directory listed 20 Terminal.
