DUBUQUE MONUMENT COMPANY. Located in 1911 at 280 Eighth Street, the Dubuque Monument Company had been in business for twenty-five years. Ten skilled workmen were employed creating work in marble, stone or granite for use in sites including mausoleums. Business were received from Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois.

The 1909 Dubuque City Directory gave the address of this company as the southwest corner of 8th and Iowa.

The 1899-1900 Dubuque City Directory through 1913 Dubuque and Dubuque County Directory gave this business address as 280 8th.

The 1915 and 1918 Dubuque City Directory listed 8th and Iowa as the address.
