DUBUQUE KIWANIS CLUB
DUBUQUE KIWANIS CLUB. Chartered in 1920, the Dubuque Kiwanis Club was the third Kiwanis Club founded west of the MISSISSIPPI RIVER. Also known as the Dubuque Downtown Kiwanis Club, the organization met at noon Mondays at the JULIEN HOTEL.
An active participant in community affairs, The Kiwanis Club raised money through its softball tournament for community betterment. From 1953-1995 the Club donated more than $500,000 to local organizations and programs.
