BRACKETT AND MORRIS. A pork packing company, Brackett and Morris opened in November 1863. The company advertised that it had hired two men from Chicago who could "cut up more hogs that any six men in the city." Spareribs, tenderloins, and pigs' feet were "sold for a song."
