ZEPESKI, Norman. (Dubuque, IA- ). "Dubuque's Rembrandt." Zepeski, a professional photographer and owner of Link's Studio, is ranked as one of eastern Iowa's finest artists. While preferring to sketch old trees, Zepeski's skill at capturing portraits of prominent Dubuque residents is well known. He was the artist for the popular Not So Long Ago: The Dubuque of Our Memories calendar produced by FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF DUBUQUE from 1991 to 1999.

Zepeski began his art lessons at the age of nine with Dan Glassel1. The lessons cost twenty-five cents and Glassell provided the supplies. Years later, Zepeski was the art editor of DUBUQUE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL yearbook.

A self-proclaimed studio artist, Zepeski's sketches are generally produced using photographs. In October 1988, a one-person show of Zepeski's work was featured by the DUBUQUE COUNTY FINE ARTS SOCIETY at the CARNEGIE-STOUT PUBLIC LIBRARY. His work was also a featured part of Faith and Fortunes: An Encyclopedia of Dubuque County.
