VALLEY HIGH. Bounded by North Grandview, Kaufmann, and Cerro Drive, the property in 1965 was designated to be a "tot lot" by the Dubuque Recreation Commission. The name given to the area "Valley High" was submitted by Cheryl Purcell, a student at St. Anthony's School in a contest entered by 75 students. She wona summer pass for free swimming in the municipal pools.
