VALENTINE PARK. Once considered by the DUBUQUE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT as the site of an elementary school, Valentine Park was located at the intersection of Valentine and Cody drives. An eleven-acre parcel, the ground was planned to be developed at a cost of $500,000 to include a ball field, open play area, a hard-surfaced area with basketball courts and a playground. Construction began in the fall of 1997.
