SPC. RONALD RENNISON ARMY RESERVE CENTER. On July 9, 2022 the center which marked its 75th year in Dubuque was named for a Dubuque native who was one of 292 servicemembers killed in Operation Desert Storm in 1991.
Rennison entered the U.S Army in 1987 and trained as a motorized transport operator. While stationed in South Korea, he logged 20,000 miles of accident-free driving. Before being discharged in 1990 he also completed missions in Honduras and Egypt. After Irag's invasion of Kuwait, he was recalled to duty in 1991. On February 25, 1991 an Iraqui Scud missile struck the barracks housing the 14th Quartermaster Detachment killing 27 Americans. The war ended three days later.
