It was in a laboratory in Ames that Bob met his future wife, Mary Snider, whose father farmed land in Napier, Iowa.

Upon graduation and marriage, Bob and Mary moved to Dallas, Texas where Bob worked as a researcher at Texas Instruments. In 1965, Bob and Mary returned to Iowa, settling in Dubuque where they remained for the next sixty years.

REULAND, Robert J. (Collingdale, PA, Feb. 9, 1935--Dubuque, IA, Apr. 8, 2024) Bob received degrees from St. Joseph’s College in Philadelphia before attending Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, where he received a PhD in chemistry. It was in a laboratory in Ames that Bob met his future wife, Mary Snider, whose father farmed land in Napier, Iowa.

Upon graduation and marriage, Bob and Mary moved to Dallas, Texas where Bob worked as a researcher at Texas Instruments. In 1965, Bob and Mary returned to Iowa, settling in Dubuque where they remained for the next sixty years.

Dr. Reuland retired a full professor of chemistry at LORAS COLLEGE where for many years he served as chairman of the department. Bob was a learned teacher of a difficult science, and he saw many of his students go on to great achievement.
