PANERA BREAD COMPANY. In 2015 Panera Bread of Iowa operated Panera Bread bakery-cafes throughout Iowa. Panera Bread is the place in your neighborhood to feast on fresh-baked bread, gourmet soups and salads, signature sandwiches, and an assortment of melt-in-your-mouth pastries and desserts. (1)

We bake fresh every day of the week and offer more than a dozen varieties of breads, along with specialty bagels, filled croissants, cinnamon rolls, muffins, decadent dessert bars, plus hot and cold espresso beverages. (2)

Your neighborhood Panera Bread bakery-cafe is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a quick snack any time of day. (3)

On May 5, 2015 officials of Panera announced a list of 150 artificial ingredients that would be eliminated from the menu by the end of 2016. Part of a national chain announcing the same goal, Panera joined such giants as Dunkin' Donuts, Kraft Foods Group Inc., and PepsiCo Inc. which also planned to eliminate various synthetic ingredients. McDonalds and Tyson Foods Inc. said they would phase out the use of chickens treated with human antibiotics. (4)

Panera opened its Dubuque outlet at 3243 Kennedy Circle.
