P. H. MEYER AND SONS. Located in 1911 at 513-521 Main Street, P. H. Meyers and Sons conducted a wholesale business in men's hats, caps, gloves, and mittens. The business was begun in Dubuque in 1893 and employed ten people selling such popular brands as the "Hawkeye" and "Meyer" hats. The territory of the company included Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
