LEWIS, Paul W. (Des Moines, IA, 1960-- ) Lewis spent more than thirty years as a volunteer leader with the Northeast Iowa Council of the Boy Scouts of America. This included serving as Order of the Arrow Lodge Advisor from 1995-2000. From 2010 - 2012, he served two terms as Northeast Iowa Council President.

The Council presented him with the Silver Beaver award in 1998 for his volunteer service. He received the Lamb award for Lutheran Scout leaders in 2007. In 1975, he earned the Eagle Scout rank and the Pro Deo Et Patria Lutheran Religious award. He became a Vigil Honor member of Mitigwa Lodge as a youth member in 1978.

Outside of his involvement with Scouting, Lewis has served as president of the Dubuque Table Tennis Club for more than 30 years. Lewis was the Iowa Games table tennis commissioner when the sport was introduced by the Iowa Sports Foundation in 1996. He teamed with Dhiren Narotam to win the Championship Doubles event in the first year of the table tennis event. He has served as commissioner of the sport for both the Winter Games and the Summer Games through 2017. Lewis served as an umpire and official for the table tennis event at the 1991 International Special Olympics.
