LA BARGE, Thomas. (Dubuque--Dubuque) One of the young men who dreamed of working in the circus while practicing acrobatics in Day's Mill sawdust pile, La Barge succeeded and later worked in the burlesque circus at the GRAND OPERA HOUSE. In 1942 he was working as a youth leader at the YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION (Y.M.C.A.).
