DUBUQUELAND WOMEN'S BOWLING ASSOCIATION. The Dubuque-Dyersville Women's Bowling Association was formed during the 1937-1938 season with sixty charter members. The hospitality committee of the organization successfully brought the 1940 state tournament to Dubuque. (1)

The group changed its name at the 14th annual meeting on March 5, 1951. Officers elected were Miss Evelyn Oneyear, president; Mrs. Winnie Thomas, first vice-president; Jane Herman and Elsie Brueckner, honorary vice-presidents; Mary DALZELL, secretary; and Lora Kaufman, treasurer. (2)

The Men's, Women's & youth were separate associations in the USBC. They merged together into one association, the Dubuque Area USBC on 06/15/2018. Instead of having triple the equipment, expense and people, the organizations had one board of 16 people to take care of business. (3)
