THOMPSON'S FOOD MARKET. Located at the southwest corner of Jones and South Locust, the store opened on January 7, 1916. The owner, Frank W. Thompson is pictured on the left. Lorraine Sullivan is pictured in the center with Mary S. Thompson on the right.

The 1955 through 1966 Dubuque City Directory listed 250 W. 1st.

The 1968 Dubuque City Directory listed 3200 Jackson and 250 W. 1st.

The 1970 Dubuque City Directory listed 250 W. 1st.

The 1972 through 1980 Dubuque City Directory listed 1250 Iowa and 250 W. 1st.

By 1986 the store at 250 West 1st had been renamed the 1st Street Food Mart.
