TREMONT HOUSE. The 1858-1859 and 1859-1860 Dubuque City Directory listed the corner of 8th and Iowa. Rebman and Crossman were the proprietora.
The hotel was opened by W. W. PYNE and later operated by Rebman and Alexander. Advertisements in 1860 claimed a watchman was "up at all hours of the night."
