ST. CLOUD
ST. CLOUD. According to the 1857-1858 Dubuque City Directory, this hotel was located on the east side of Main from 9th to 10th. When finished, the hotel was 113 x 194 feet and five stories high with 200 rooms and nine store rooms.
On January 21, 1858 the hotel destroyed by fire. It had cost $95,000 to build and was insured for $80,000.
