C. H. EIGHMEY-1337 MAIN
C.H. EIGHMEY HOME. Charles H. EIGHMEY was the president of FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF DUBUQUE and trustee of SAINT LUKE'S UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. The home he had constructed in the early 1890s was in the form of QUEEN ANNE ARCHITECTURE.
In the twentieth century during remodeling, the huge Greek Revival portico and gable were added creating one of the most dramatic appearances in residences in the city. The home was once the location of the Quinlan Chiropractic Office and later was subdivided into apartments.
