ANDERSON, Eugene. (Dubuque, IA, Oct. 18,1857-- ). Anderson completed his education in the public schools of Dubuque and then traveled to Golden, Colorado where he entered the State School of Mines. He spent two years in the Civil Engineering Department. After leaving college, he was employed in the west as a civil engineer for twelve years.

In 1890, he returned to Dubuque and opened an office. He did a large business as a surveyor and civil engineer.
