FLADOOS, Rosalie E.
FLADOOS, Rosalie E. (Fairfax, IA--Rancho Mirage, CA, Jan. 7, 2001). National women's amateur golf official. Fladoos and her husband, Arnold J. Fladoos, shared DUBUQUE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB management responsibilities for forty years. Fladoos served fifteen years on the United States Golf Association Women's Committee officiating at World Cup competitions, Curtis Cup competitions, Women's U.S. Opens, and the National Women's Amateur Championships. She served ten years on the Women's Transnational Golf Association including being president, board member, and national tournament official.
Fladoos served the Dubuque VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION for twenty years as president, board member, foundation member, and fund raising chairperson. She established financial assistance for the well-baby clinic serving the financially disadvantaged in the city.
In 1981 Fladoos received the Henry Albert Memorial Award for Outstanding Service to Public Health. In 1987 she received the Iowa's Governor Award for Volunteer of the Year.
