DUBUQUE AVIATION SCHOOL. A pioneering aviation effort in Dubuque, the school was formed in the early 1900s by John Andrew LOETSCHER and Samuel Simmert. Loetscher built three airplanes between 1914 and 1916 of which one was a "flying boat" for the school. (1)
