LUKE, Ginny
LUKE, Ginny. (Dubuque, IA-- ). Actress and musician. At the age of fifteen, Luke made the decision to move to Los Angeles, California under the guardianship of her brother to pursue a career in the arts. She spent her first year auditioning and obtaining extra roles in television sitcoms including "Everybody Hates Chris" and such films as "Drillbit Taylor." She played violin in the Dave Matthews Band video, "You and Me" and made a debut single and accompanying music video, "It's Not Over Yet." She also completed studies at the prestigious Interlochen (Michigan) Center for the Arts.
In 2009 Luke became part of the new girl group, Adam 812, which recorded and released a self-titled debut pop CD. The trio also performed in famed rock venues including Whiskey-A-Go-Go in Los Angeles and opened for KC and the Sunshine Band in Florida. Luke obtained leading roles in several independent and student films including "Board" which appeared on the reality TV show "On the Lot." She had the role of a violist in the motion picture "Fame." She continued to study voice at the Musicians" Institute of Technology and the violin at the Colburn School of Music, both in Los Angeles.]
