TAUKE, Esther. (Dyersville, IA--Dubuque, IA, Sept. 10,1983). Tauke, mother of U.S. Representative Thomas TAUKE, served as chairperson of the Senior Citizens Recognition Month from 1974 to 1980. Formerly employed as a community services advisor with the Area VIII Agency on the Aging, Tauke was a valued member of the Dubuque Housing Commission and the advisory board of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Active politically, Tauke was precinct chairperson for the Dubuque County Republican Central Committee and was a member of the Dubuque County Republican Women.
