THOMPSON, John "Jack" (Dubuque, IA, Nov. 5, 1928--Dubuque, IA, Dec. 19, 2008) In 1944 Thompson took over the Thompson Food Marker and later created OKY DOKY, 6 1/2 Discount, Dubuque Distributing and many other businesses. Known for extending credit to customers, he even delivered groceries if needed.

He was the longest standing member of the DUBUQUE SHOOTING SOCIETY.
