WAREHOUSE MARKET. For a monthly fee, shoppers were told they would receive less expensive prices on food items. Upon entering the store, customers chose a black pen for marking the prices on items they wanted and a large flat wooden cart for their groceries. At the end of the month, coupons were received for free or greatly reduced items in the store.

The 1970 through 1985 Dubuque City Directory listed 190 John F. Kennedy Road.
