HANCOCK, John Samuel. (Dubuque, IA, Apr. 27, 1850-Jan. 19, 1883). Hancock, son of John T. HANCOCK, was a partner in the wholesale grocery business of his father until 1880.

John S. Hancock and his father formed the DUBUQUE CATTLE COMPANY which was capitalized at $500,000 by New York, Chicago, and Dubuque investors. (1)
