KRETSCHMER, Frederick N. (Dubuque, IA, Oct. 19, 1870--Dubuque, IA, May 10, 1936). Kretschmer was elected county treasurer and served from January 1, 1902 to December 31, 1906.

In 1907, he and his brother Herbert, joined Andrew Morrison in forming Morrison- Kretschmer Company. When Morrison left, it became Kretschmer Manufacturing Company and later when the brothers bought out Tredway and Sons, the name was changed to KRETSCHMER-TREDWAY COMPANY. Kretschmer served as president of the corporation and in numerous civic and business organizations.
