SAMUEL AND MARJORIE UPTON--410 RAYMOND PLACE. The land on which this home was built was purchased by Andrew Harrison in 1845. The property was eventually sold to Julius K. GRAVES in 1887 and then in 1895 to the Fenelon Place Elevator Company.

In 1910 the home site was sold off the elevator property to the Uptons who owned the UPTON LAUNDRY in Dubuque. Descendants of this family lived in the home until 1957.
