SAENGERBUND AUDITORIUM. On March 31, 1896 the announcement was made that the contract to build the Saengerbund Auditorium had been awarded to H. Holzinger. The price was $3,200. The cost of seating and lights was estimated to bring the total cost of $4,000.

The frame building which was to be 70 by 200 feet was to stand at the corner of Couler and Kaufmann avenues. With construction starting immediately, it was planned that the building would be available for the state convention in May.
