RUMPF, W. H. (Ellfleth, Grandducke of Oldenburg--Weisbaden, Germany, 1911). Rumpf began in the grocery business in Dubuque in 1853. In 1882 he became a partner in the firm of RUMPF, HOSFORD AND FERRING and then retired. Rumpf moved to Brooklyn, New York and then Bremen, Germany and finally Weisbaden where he lived with his daughter.
