CANFIELD, William J. Jr. In 1920 William Canfield, Sr. and his son, William J. Canfield, leased "The Paris" hotel in Dubuque. They purchased furnishings and fixtures for the hotel and completely remodeled it. This became the HOTEL CANFIELD.
For nine years while operating his hotel, William J. Canfield, Jr. also maintained his position as custodian of the BANK AND INSURANCE BUILDING.
