Briggs, Angela Sue. (Dubuque, IA-- ). Instructional technology and editor. Briggs, a graduate of STEPHEN HEMPSTEAD HIGH SCHOOL, attended the University of Iowa. She received her teaching certificate and taught computer skills to junior and senior high students in Mason City, Iowa before returning to the university to pursue graduate study. In 2001 while enrolled in the Master's Program in Instructional Design and Technology, Briggs received the Barry D. Bratton Memorial Award which is presented annually to "an outstanding graduate student in Instructional Design and Technology who displays commitment to the field and evidence of exceptional promise." She then accepted a position in the Academic Technology department at the University of Iowa. In 2008 she joined Pearson, an international media company.

In addition to her academic work, Briggs edited and carried out all technological work in preparation for the publication of Faith and Fortunes: An Encyclopedia of Dubuque County. This sesquicentennial history was sold and all funds raised were divided among the seven local historical societies in the county.
