WELCH, Dale. (Arlington, IA-Dubuque, IA, Sept. 8, 1975). President, UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE. Welch, a graduate of the University of Dubuque, taught English and speech at the university, served on its board of directors, and held the office of president from 1936 to 1947. He also served as business manager of MEDICAL ASSOCIATES and was a member of the board of directors of the YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION (Y.M.C.A.)
