FURUSETH, Leslie I. "Les." (Germfask, MI, Nov. 27, 1928--Dubuque, IA, October 2nd, 2011) The son of Oscar and Neva (Coburn) Furuseth, Les married Patricia Leytem on November 30, 1963 at SACRED HEART CHURCH. He was District Director for the US Department of Agriculture, Chairman of State Grievance Committee for ASCS which is an organization made up of over 1000 state and federal USDA employees. He also served as Acting Director of the State of Iowa for ASCS for several months.

Les served on the Dock Commission of Dubuque and as Chairman of the Dubuque County Republican Organization. While chairman, several candidates were elected to public office. In later years, he hosted Albrecht Acres campers to a "Fishing Expedition" at Lake Eleanor.
