O'Connor, Bernard "Bernie." (Council Bluffs, IA-- ). Coach. In 1997 O'Connor was named the National Tennis Coach of the Year by the National High School Athletic Coaches Association. In thirty-eight years at WAHLERT HIGH SCHOOL, O'Connor coached three girls and three boys to state singles titles. Several students won doubles titles. In all, O'Connor coached seventeen state champions and runners-up.
