Burns, Robert William. (Dubuque, IA, Mar. 23, 1926--Iowa City, IA, Dec. 20, 1983). County attorney. Burns served two terms as county attorney from January 1, 1963, to December 31, 1966. He served as a justice of the peace from Julien Township from 1958 to 1962 and was an applicant for the position of Dubuque County Associate District Judge which was eventually awarded to Alan L. Pearson.
