DEGGENDORF, F. E. (Austria, Dec. 12, 1831-- ). Deggendorf came to the United States in 1859 and settled in Dubuque. He enlisted in the military during the CIVIL WAR and was severely injured during the Battle of Wilson's Creek.

Deggendorf eventually returned to Dubuque where he became an agent of the Dubuque Fire and Life Insurance Company.
